Indianola boasts one of the best places in the county to watch the stars or any major celestial event. The Indianola dock, built when the Mosquito Fleet boats supplied the majority of transportation on Puget Sound, is a local landmark that's perfect for stargazing. It juts hundreds of feet out into the water.
Each summer, residents and visitors flock to the beach to celebrate Indianola Days. The festival includes a street fair, fun run and horseshoe tourney. One of the most popular events every year is the sandcastle building competition.
